I am the proud mother of a 2 year old named Lydia. My husband Walter and I moved from New York City to the suburbs of New Jersey three years ago.
I come from a long line of crafters. My grandmother and mother sewed avidly and my sister and aunt paint, draw, quilt, and manage their own jewelry-making businesses. I have been knitting since I was 12 years old. I' don't recall if it was my mother or my aunt who actually taught me to knit. I just remember how long the needles seemed when I first started. I also enjoy quilting, needlepoint, and photography, but don't have time to do these hobbies.
I have completed two New York City Marathons and have run numerous half marathons. At this point in my life, I have no desire to run long distance races. Anyone who has run a marathon knows that the training is very difficult, especially during the summer months when the weather can be brutally hot. Regardless, I have fond memories of running through Central Park with my friends as we trained for the New City Marathon the first time.
My hope in creating this blog is to provide an outlet to showcase my projects and also to share my thoughts, ideas, and inspirations for my crafts.
